The third season of Australian Survivor is a television series based on the popular reality game show Survivor. The season was filmed in Samoa from May to July 2016 and premiered on the 21st of August 2016 on Network Ten. Hosted by actor and former emergency-room physician Jonathan LaPaglia, the program features 24 Australian castaways competing for 55 days. Australian Survivor sees 24 tough and tenacious people marooned on a tropical island with little more than the clothes on their backs and the drive to be the sole survivor. Contestants are deprived of basic comforts and must build their own shelter, light their own fires, gather their own food and fend for themselves.
